Three Phase Isolation Transformers are devices that decouple two circuits, the load to the isolation transformer and the input supply. They suppress electrical noise that occurs in transmission lines and blocks the transmission of DC signals from one circuit to another. They also prevent interference caused by ground loops.

Isolation transformers are constructed with two isolated Faraday shields between the primary and secondary windings. The use of two shields in the construction of the isolation transformer diverts high-frequency noise. The two shields provide more effective isolation of the primary and secondary circuits and also isolation to their grounds.
